Frankfurt

Nice city. Very modern. Everything is new. -5 Celsius, strong, cold wind, drizzling rain. There's a little cobblestone winding street that is a dead ringer for Rodeo drive; Tiffanys, Chanel, Armani, Gucci, Dior, Cartier, Tumi.
Ate lunch at a place called NYC, and the menus say "authentic NY diner!". Its so far from authentic its actually pretty awesome. Interior is modern eurotrash German standard, but they have a piece of rebar in the middle and one of those old coca-cola clocks. Menu features "authentic American donuts". My french fries (with mayo, just like in NYC, right?) were pretty outstanding though, as was my dark german dunkles lager.
