South Africa - Simon's Town - Penguin Colony

A bunch of lazy sea chickens roosted on this beach area outside of Cape Town and never left, seemingly ignoring the fact that their brethren are freezing their sea chicken asses off down in Antarctica. Hell, even their basic physiology is designed for the brutal spring/summer/winter/fall of Antarctica. And yet here they sit, sunning themselves in comparatively balmy weather. Our guide for the day was particularly interested in the cooking and eating of most of the wildlife we saw, and even thought that a penguin might be a tasty meal. I'm not so sure.
