20 minutes or so out of central Cape Town is a seaside neighborhood called Haut Bay. Beautiful beaches on the way to the area. A tourist ferry takes you out 10 minutes or so into the bay to a small rock formation that hundreds of seals lounge around on and play around in the water. Its a testament to the stupidity of the great white shark that this isn't the equivalent of an all you can eat buffet restaurant for them.
